The start.

So it looks like this ancient blog is going to be reborn into a travel blog (and other general topics). First it was Full of Words then it was Asleep With Wolves and now… Thirdly, it is officially re-branded as “Gypsy Soul : Born to Wander” which I feel is one of the more precise blog titles that I have created to go along with my blog. My hopes for this blog is for it to be less of a blog and more of a journal; a travel journal.

Being a Navy Brat, I’ve  had the fortune (or misfortune) to travel all across the United States but instead of taking that advantage and really marketing it, I just let my teenage angst get the best of me and just let it fall by the wayside.

As far as travel goes, in 2016, I went not only to Atlanta, Georgia but I also made it back to my old stomping ground in New Orleans, Louisiana. I’d really like to capture those adventures in written form because I didn’t do so then so some entries (at first) will be a bit retroactive, if you will.

Unfortunately, the only place I traveled to in 2017, was Boot Camp (also known as Basic Combat Training) and then back home again. Yes, I did a brief stent in the U.S. Army but was discharged because my legs (and my bodies calcium absorbency) decided they had other plans.

In August 2018 (and the real “spurrer” of the re-branding of this blog), I am going to be taking a trip to Washington D.C. AND to Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia. During these trips, I plan on taking my mobile notebook with me and really logging my adventures. To include, where I went, what I saw, how I felt, who I went with – You know, making this a really real travel blog. But that’s not it, I plan on also keeping this as a journal as previously mentioned. See, I really need to catch up to the 21st Century and start an electronic journal because my hands just cant take writing forever in my paperback journal anymore these days. If I get readers, great. If not, well, at least my entries will help with my eventual Alzheimer’s Disease (which I hope I don’t actually end up getting).

So, long story short, this is going to be my personal journal too – for the whole world to see. You’ll get to come along for my adventures, experience my mishaps with me, and even get to tour some of the best coffee shops in the world. I’ve got a lot of plans for traveling coming in the future. To include (but not limited to) Scotland, England, Ireland, France, Hawaii, Bermuda, and New Zealand.

I’ll be seeing you, World. Here’s to the good times to come!
